Plans can be saved in shapefile, csv file, or project file. The saved plans can be load back. Plans created by other software can also be load in as long it is in shapefile format.

Before saving a plan, this plan should be selected. Click the "Add to selected" button to add a plan to the selection. To save all of the selected plans, click “SaveCSV”. The district names can be changed in a plan by clicking “Relabel”. A plan report can be generated for a selected plan (whichever shown in the box under “Selected Plans”) by clicking “Report”.

Go to "plans" menu and choose "Save the selected plan to a shapefile", the current plan on the map will be saved as a shapefile. Each shapefile saves one plan.

Under the “Plans” menu, one can delete the current plan, the unselected plans, or the selected plans.

"Save Project" is another way to save work. It saves not only the selected plans but also the parameter settings and the redistricting data loaded. However, if the redistricting data is moved to another location, the project file wouldn't be able to open.
